Milo Nestum Cookies

Ingredients:
(a) Butter               130g
     Shortening         20g
     Caster Sugar     50g
     Vanilla Essence 1tsp

(b) Flour          150g
     Corn Flour  20g
     Nestum       50g
     Milo            2 tbsp

Steps:
1. Beat Ingredients(a) until fluffy.
2. Add in Ingredient(b) mix well to form a dough.
3. Do a shape and lined on a baking tray with baking paper.
4. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes or until brown.
5. Let cool on a wire rack completely. Store in an air-tight container. Enjoy!

法国面包 French Roll


食谱来至:Carol(minor changes)

材料:
i)麦芽糖(Maltose)1tbsp
     水 220g

ii)高筋面粉 300g
      Yeast 1/2 tsp
      盐 1/3 tsp
      奶油 30g

做法:
1)首先将份量中的水煮沸,再加入麦芽糖放入至完全溶解,放凉。
2)将所有(ii)中的材料除了奶油与麦芽糖水一起搅拌成不粘手面团。
3)之后加入奶油,打至可以拉出薄膜的面团,盖上一块湿布,发酵2小时。
4)将发酵好的面团排气,分割每份60g,滚圆,休息20分钟。
5)将面团做出形状(制作形状方法请参阅法国面包制作图片)。
6)再进行第二次1小时发酵。
7)发酵好后,在面团表面用刀割出一条线,之后在表面撒些水。
8)以200度,烤20分钟。

**在面团表面割出一条线后,马上把面包放进烤箱不然面包里面的气体会散掉
***建议在烤箱放一杯沸水(谁能够让面包表面更酥脆)

Kuih Kohsui (杯仔糕)


材料:
(a)班兰叶 5-8 片
          幼糖     150g
          水         180ml

(b)粘米粉 100g
          大薯粉 50g
          水         380ml
          碱水     1 tsp

(c)椰丝     适量
          盐         1 搓

做法:
1. 将班兰叶和水放进搅拌器,打成班兰水。之后加入糖,煮至糖完全溶解之后放凉。
2. 将(b)材料混合。之后过滤备用。
3. 将做法(1.)和(2.)材料混合。
4. 将混合料倒入已经预热好的糕杯中,中火蒸20分钟。

English Toast Bread

Recipes from:Carol 自在生活 with some minor changes

Dough Ingredients:
210ml  Cold Water
30g      Sugar
1/2tsp  Salt
20g      Butter
350g    High Protein Flour
1tsp     Yeast

Method:
(1) Put in all the ingredients accordingly to the bread maker.
(2) Select the "Dough" function of the bread maker and press "Start". After the kneading     process has stopped(roughly about 20 minutes, based on your machine), reset your bread maker to "Dough" mode again and continue let the machine knead for another 20 minutes. After the second kneading process has stopped, remove the dough from the bread pan. 
(3) Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl(either vegetable oil or butter), cover with a damp cloth and let it proof for 1 hour or until double in bulk. 
(4) Remove the dough from the bowl, press out the gas in the dough, devide into 2 equal portions. Roll each portion into round shapes, cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for 20 minutes.
(5) Flatten each dough and roll out to form a longish oval shape. Starting from the shorter, roll it up like swish roll style. Leave the doughs to rest for another 20 minutes.
(6) Flatten each dough and roll it out again to form a long rectangular shape. Starting from the shorter, roll it up like swiss roll style. 
(7) Place the 2 dough into a greased bread pan and let it proof for 1 hour or until double in size.

(8) Bake in a preheated oven for 40 minutes, 170 Celcius.

Cornell Bread Maker

After saving money for a few months, I was manage to buy a new bread maker machine. 


Bread maker have a variety of brands. After keeping finding this bread maker in many shops, this is the only brand that I could find in my town area with the price of RM370 instead of RM399 after discount ^_^



The design was very nice with 11 programs, 3  different crust and with the power of 850 Watts.
The spec that I like most is this bread maker have 2 kneading blades. With 2 kneading blades, it can gives optimal results.
